Course Information

Entry Requirements

A good Honours degree or appropriate professional qualification(s); or HND/Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline with relevant experience; or equivalent international qualifications.

Applications for Recognised Prior Learning can be made and will be individually assessed.

Learners who have completed the Security Institute Advanced Diploma in Security Management IQ Level 7 course will receive 40 credits towards the MSc and will be exempt from the Research Methods and one of the two 20 credit modules.

All applications will be considered on an individual basis. Dependant upon qualifications and experience, applicants may be interviewed to determine their suitability to undertake the course.

English Requirements

International applicants will need to have achieved an overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component. Applicants who have successfully studied at this level in the Medium of English will be deemed to have met the English requirements.

Course Dates

There are 2 intakes per annum, February and September.

Course Fee Per Person: £5,150 plus VAT

Payment Terms:

Full Time Study - Full payment prior to commencement of the course

Part Time Study (2 years) - Payment can be made in 2 instalments  

(50% prior to start of 1st  year and 50% at start of 2nd year)*

*For those who have used RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) credits alternative payment terms may apply.

How It Works

Learners will be registered as students of the University of South Wales and Perpetuity Training.  Throughout the course learners will have access to all of the University of South Wales resources, including the library, where ebooks can be accessed.

During the course learners will have regular contact with tutors, both on a 1-1 basis and as a group.  

How to Apply

All students wishing to apply to undertake the MSc are asked to complete the application form found on the University of South Wales website.

As part of this application students will be asked to upload copies of qualifications, ie Certificates etc and give details about work history and International students will be asked to confirm their English Language skills. We would recommend that students who have questions regarding their eligibility, English Language skills etc, contact Perpetuity in the first instance prior to completing the application form to discuss how best to proceed.

Once this application is complete, Perpetuity will validate the qualifications and work history to ascertain if eligibility requirements have been met.  In most instances students will be contacted by a member of the Perpetuity team to discuss their application.

Students will be notified by Perpetuity regarding the success or otherwise of their application and if the application is successful payment terms can be agreed.

Once payment has been made students will be asked to re-visit the University of South Wales website to complete their enrolment.
